The Hout cottage is on a quiet dirt road just a half mile to South
Sunken Meadow Beach (bay) and has a large, sunny back yard with a new
10 x 20 deck off the living room. The kitchen and bath are typical of a
1950s cottage. The bedrooms are a bit small and have high push-out
windows, again reminiscent of vacations a half-century ago. The living
space is unusually large for a cottage with a separate dining area near
the kitchen and a small den or reading nook at the far end, The washer
and dryer are accessed through a bulkhead. This is truly a cottage the
way they used to be, but carefully maintained by the owners for a
comfortable vacation. |
