The Hooton cottage has a lot of rooms; it was once the resident
manager’s office for a cottage colony that has now been subdivided and
sold as individual homes and cottages (not condoed). One room may have
been an office at one time; now it has a kitchen, separate diningroom,
livingroom, bathroom, and bedroom downstairs, and two bedrooms
upstairs, all in a North Eastham cottage. It is on a dead end road off
Route 6; to get to any beaches, shopping, or dining, one must go out
onto the highway. Definitely 1950s with a bit of “gingham dog” decor.
Comfortable and very economical. |
