This vintage 1950s cottage on Indian Neck in Wellfleet sits
on a hill
above Burton Baker Beach, considered Wellfleet’s finest bay beach by
many people. The delta-shaped beach, accessible only by foot or boat
(no parking), is wider and more spacious than most and has a little
inlet (named Sewell’s Gutter after the colonial entrepreneur who mined
sea salt there) that fills with clean salt water on every incoming tide
for a perfect wading pool. The two-story cottage has a knotty-pine
living room with fireplace, kitchen with dining booth, two bedrooms and
a bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms, one with a balcony, upstairs. |
