The DeHaan cottage is on a
large, flat sunny lot just 3/10 of a mile down a dirt road to
Campground Landing, one of the most popular public bay beaches in the
northern part of Eastham. We speculate that the cottage was originally
designed for a handicapped person because of the width of the interior
doorways and the unusual arrangement in the master bedroom, which has a
double bed, toilet, and sink. The closet is a shower. The bathroom
facilities do not offer any real privacy, so we suggest that you
consider the DeHaan place to be either a two-bedroom, two-bath cottage
or a three-bedroom, one-bath unit, but do not think of the master
bedroom as two different facilities. The livingroom is large and has a
raised hearth fireplace. The kitchen and dining area are also large,
almost big enough to be considered two separate rooms, and there is a
deck in back off the kitchen. The cottage is furnished in the
“miscellaneous worry-free” style with some clutter and will not be
compatible with some lifestyles, but the cost of the rental is adjusted
for the casual attention to comfort. |
